Woodbury, New York multi-state insurance defense firm seeks full-time paralegals for busy Long Island office. Prior insurance defense experience preferred. Case intake experience and paralegal certification a plus.
Primary Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Reviewing incoming case assignments and claim documents;
- Communicating with clients;
- Data entry in document management system;
- Performing conflict checks;
- Preparing correspondence;
- Coordinating with support services, opposing law firms and courts;
- Drafting legal documents for review and use by attorneys such as discovery demands/responses, notices, affidavits, subpoenas and other routine legal documents.
- Motion preparation and identification of exhibits;
- Document productions and redactions;
- Preparation of witness/exhibit lists and trial binders;
- Retention of expert witnesses, preparation of expert indexes, production of records;
- E-filing and E-service;
- Calendar management for assigned caseload; and
- Additional administrative duties.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
